Are you thinking about moving to Arizona, but don’t know which area is best? If you’re looking to belong to a really cool 55+ community, I’ve got a few places I know you’ll love. In this episode of The Great Escape, I’m going to share my top three 55+ communities in and around Gilbert, Arizona. Whether you’re interested in the commute, the price, or the lifestyle, I’m going to give you all the information you need to see if Arizona living is right for you.

The Top 3 Communities For 55+ In Arizona

Did you know that Gilbert, Arizona is the safest community in the United States of 100,000 people or more? Our community has been in the number one or two spot of the United States in the last five years. In today’s world, this is very important. Within Gilbert, there are 3 amazing 55+ communities that each have some amazing amenities where you can enjoy life without worries.

Trilogy At Power Ranch

The first community that’s on our list is Trilogy at Power Ranch. Trilogy is a gated community of 2,035 homes. They range from 1,100 square feet to 2,800 square feet, with prices from $265,000 to $550,000. There’s only one 55+ community in the official city limits of Gilbert, and this is it.

This community is built around the Trilogy Golf Course, an 18-hole, 6,900-yard golf built by Dick Bailey. The course goes through the desert and the Queen Creek Wash, and annual passes are also available. A pass will allow you to have advanced tee times and unlimited use of the putting green and driving range. A 900 square foot climate-controlled pavilion is another great amenity, equipped with a flight monitor that allows you to fine-tune your game. It also has golfing drills and swing videos.

So if you love to golf, Trilogy is the perfect place. Even if golf isn’t your thing, there’s plenty of other activities available. There’s a beautiful clubhouse that has a pool, tennis court, pickleball, shuffleboard, and all types of fun entertainment. You can also find a restaurant right in the subdivision, with many other eateries and shopping all around the community. You’re never going to run out of something to do so.

Solera At Springfield Lakes

My next 55+ community pick here in Arizona lies southwest in a suburb of Chandler. Located at McQueen and Riggs Roads, this gated community is called Solera at Springfield Lakes. It’s very close to the I-10 and 202 freeways, near to the casinos, and only 18 miles from the airport.

Solera has plenty to offer, including a a clubhouse where you can play pool, tennis, and shuffleboard. It’s got tons of activities, including the 18-hole golf course it’s built around. As for homes, there is a large variety of properties built from 1997 to 2005. They range in size from 1,060 square feet to 3,115 square feet, with pricing ranging between $235,000 and $495,000.

Eastmark

The newest 55-plus living community in the area is right on the border of Gilbert and Mesa. This community is called Eastmark, located about three miles east of the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and ASU East. It’s also about 2 miles east of the 202 freeway, providing easy access wherever you need to go.

This is a hot community, with plenty of new construction and development. A planned tech corridor is where all the large corporations are moving, so there’ll be plenty of employment. Restaurants and shopping opportunities are also being built.

Eastmark is a 3,200-acre master plan community, consisting of both traditional neighborhoods and a 55+ living community. They have separate facilities, each with their own clubhouse, pool, spa, and billiard room. You can also take advantage of tennis, pickleball, shuffleboard, and all the additional activities offered. There’s even a cute restaurant in the community where you can walk or bike to, including a garden of fresh, organic vegetables that you can have any time. Homes in Eastmark range from 1,650 square feet to 3,205 square feet, with prices from $315,000 to $700,000.
